About the Role:
Remitly's Order-to-Cash (OTC) accounting and reconciliation systems are critical to support the accuracy and completeness of our financial records and accelerate our growth at scale. As an individual contributing (no direct reports) Senior Manager in Accounting, focused on OTC transformation, you will be an essential team member, driving effective communication across our sub-teams, identifying and correcting both systematic bugs as well as inefficient and inaccurate processes. You will partner with accounting, reconciliation, product and engineering teams, from detailed SME levels to leadership.
You Will:
Be a subject matter expert on the customer transaction process end-to-end, which includes proper accounting and analysis of revenue, cost of sales, cash, customer incentives, customer receivables and liabilities, foreign exchange transactions, and reserves.
Be a subject matter expert on our reconciliation platform, and related “fall-out amendments” process.
Develop and maintain a detailed mapping of the OTC process end-to-end, including key dependencies and control points, and leverage for pain point countermeasures / transformation product roadmap inputs.
Deep dive large-scale events / issues for root cause(s), and lead the implementation of related countermeasures.
Evolve our OTC SOX controls with a focus on automation and scale.
Stay involved in monthly close processes, yet not responsible for close journal entries or reconciliation performance / reviews.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 8+ years of experience
CPA or similar designation preferred
Knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 and ASC 830 preferred
Experience working in ERP and internally developed systems
Experience analyzing and working with large data sets and familiarity with data management tools such as Excel and SQL

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $124,800 - $156,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
