Responsibilities

  • Create system specification documentation translating ADAS/AD product requirements to systems software requirements and architecture specifications.
  • Drive the functional chain development from system to component level in integrated cooperation within a cross-functional team
  • Develop the system / software architecture, operational concepts, software features decomposition, APIs, requirements management processes, and system verification plans.
  • Conduct and document system-level analysis, including proof of concept studies and prototyping activities to support requirements generation
  • Collaborate closely with internal software development teams to solve problems with a system engineering mindset. Provide training and mentoring to internal staff as necessary to ensure efficient program execution
  • Research and review new tools, technologies and industry trends which might affect current and future products
  • Identify any product/functionality gaps and collaborate with internal product and technology teams to define the necessary development to support solution delivery
  • Become a Systems Engineering expert and point of contact for: product requirements, system architecture, and policy, legal, and other standards
  • Closely cooperate with Safety Engineers and ensure Technical Safety Requirements are implemented in software implementation per ISO 26262
  • Provide frequent and clear communication to other teams, peers, and external stakeholders

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer-, Electrical-, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of industry experience
  • Experience in the AD/ADAS or Robotics domain; preferably in vehicle perception, environment modeling or motion planning.
  • Software development experience in either C or C++, preferably with safety critical systems
  • Exposure to modern software development practices like Test/Behavior driven development (TDD/BDD)
  • Familiarity with at least one software test framework (eg google test, catch2 or cucumber) for reading/writing testable specifications
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages such as matlab for analysis, plotting and prototyping activities
  • Experience with Systems and Software architecture development, preferrably using UML / SysML using MBSE tools such as Rational Rhapsody, Visual Paradigm, Enterprise Architect, Cameo etc.
  • Exposure to Requirements Management for establishing traceability using RM tools such as JAMA, Rational DOORS, or MBSE tools such as Rational Rhapsody.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to motivate others, drive collaboration, and quickly resolve conflicts 
  • Enjoy working within a dynamic and continuously evolving environment 
  • Able to work successfully in cross-functional teams, especially across organizational and geographical boundaries
  • Experience in system level and software safety, including ISO 26262
  • Good understanding of SOTIF

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing perception software algorithms.
  • Experience in bringing ADAS/AD software to series production
  • Experience with designing and development software in accordance with quality, functional safety and security standards (ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR).
  • An impeccable professional record and a strong and demonstrable work ethic.
  • Show out-of-box thinking and invent creative solutions for challenging problems.
