Job Description:
The Lead Worker is under the direction of the Team Manager responsible for the Utilities Division/Power Dept Coal Operations and Day Services teams. Will work with little supervision; lead, coordinate and perform daily job assignments and role model for entry level new hire team.
Responsibilities:
Job Duties:
- Interface with customers within and outside of our division
- Schedule/prioritize daily work assignments
- Ensure compliance with filter schedules
- Lead de-risking efforts to ensure actions are taken to best .
- Work with other Lead Workers to meet team goals.
- Maintain A/C units filter list and coordinate/document changing of all filters; scheduled and requested.
- Change AC unit filters in various types of units
- Clean condensers, evaporators, absorbers, coils and any other heat exchangers requested by DS.
- Filtered Water plant tasks; basin and filter cleanings
- Demin Plant tasks; Resin addition, treatments and movement
- Responsible for safely operating a boat.
- Ensure monthly check and validation of Post Indicator Valves
- (PIV) and annual walk downs with Factory Mutual Insurance.
- Supports Utilities DS Dept Operations; special projects related to all distributed services for all four areas of Dept on an as-needed basis as determined by management.
Special Note: This role could be included in future cross training opportunities within Power Dept Coal Operations as business needs require.
Qualifications:
Requirements to perform Essential Elements of the job:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Good communications skills.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Tennessee Boat Operators License as required.
- Must have and maintain a Valid Drivers License
- Must be able to climb stairs, pipe bridges and ladders.
- Must be willing to work overtime as requested.
- Must be able to work from heights.
- Must be able to drive and safely operate vehicles (trucks, aerial platform, JLG, boat).
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have basic computer skills and willingness to develop.
- Must be able to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must be able to routinely apply knowledge, team and problem solving techniques in decision-making.
- Must possess and demonstrate team skills.
- Must follow/role model all safety requirements and expectations.
