About the role
<span>As a company we are growing, and as we scale up, we focus on growing our CPQ platform team as well. We’re looking for a </span><b>Senior .NET Full Stack Developer</b><span> with a strong backend focus to join the core CPQ engineering team at Vendavo. As we transition from a legacy monolith to a modular, cloud-native architecture on AWS, your role will be instrumental in driving this transformation. You will take ownership of modernizing business logic, building event-driven services, and enabling scalable API integrations—all while collaborating across the full stack when needed. </span><span>You should bring deep backend expertise in modern .NET, messaging, and API design, along with the ability to contribute to a React + GraphQL frontend as part of end-to-end feature delivery. </span>
<h3>THE OPPORTUNITY</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lead refactoring of critical CPQ business logic from SQL Server stored procedures into maintainable, testable .NET application code </li><li>Design and implement microservices in .NET 8+, deployed in Kubernetes (EKS) and integrated with AWS infrastructure </li><li>Develop robust GraphQL APIs using Hot Chocolate, serving both internal and external clients </li><li>Integrate backend services with Kafka-based Data Mesh for real-time inbound/outbound data synchronization </li><li>Replace legacy Azure components (e.g., Service Bus, Blob Storage) with AWS-native equivalents (S3, SQS/SNS) </li><li>Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers across VPP, IAM, and Data Mesh teams </li><li>Contribute to React frontend codebase (TypeScript + GraphQL client) when full-stack delivery is required </li><li>Uphold high standards in code quality, testing, observability, and performance tuning </li><li>Mentor junior developers and participate in design reviews and technical planning </li></ul>
<h3>THE SKILL SET</h3>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of experience in backend development using .NET Core / .NET 6+ / .NET 8 </li><li>Proven experience in migrating legacy systems to modular microservice architectures </li><li>Strong grasp of Domain-Driven Design, asynchronous patterns, and event-driven systems </li><li>Proficiency with MassTransit and message brokers (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, AWS SQS/SNS) </li><li>Solid understanding of data access patterns, caching (e.g., Redis), and database schema evolution (EF Core, migrations) </li><li>Experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes deployments </li><li>Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript </li><li>Ability to modify and extend existing UI components and data flows (especially those based on GraphQL) </li><li>Familiarity with GraphQL clients (e.g., Apollo or urql) and REST integration</li><li>Familiarity with AWS cloud services (IAM, EKS, S3, Secrets Manager, SQS/SNS) </li><li>CI/CD pipeline integration experience (preferably Azure DevOps) </li><li>Observability tooling (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Application Insights, Prometheus/Grafana) </li><li>Experience working in the CPQ, pricing, or enterprise quoting domain (Nice to have) </li><li>Familiarity with federated GraphQL schemas and gateway architectures </li><li>Exposure to IAM and OIDC/OAuth2-based authentication/authorization flows </li><li>Previous involvement in Data Mesh or large-scale data synchronization projects </li></ul>
