Earth Sciences & Engineering (ESE) specializes in site planning, spatial information and digital terrain modeling, surface and subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, underground structures, geotechnical laboratory services, flood forecasting and water resource management through our geotechnical, hydrotechnical, and civil site development expertise.

 

As a Junior Civil Engineer, you will be required to provide engineering deliverables and technical support. The main duties and responsibilities as part of this position include:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Participate, contribute and execute civil scope related to earthworks, roads, buried services and storm water drainage for mining | Municipal and Energy projects
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure quality and timely outcomes
  • Perform assignments related to civils, drainage and utilities
  • Assist with preparation of detailed design for civil engineering infrastructure/utilities projects
  • Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
  • Coordination with other technicians in designing drainage and utilities provision for Municipal, Indusutrial development and transportation projects
  • Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed

 

Qualifications:

  • A recent or soon to be graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering or a Masters Degree with a specialization in Water Resources, Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Understanding of inter-discipline requirements for the tasks at hand
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling and 2D drafting, will train in 2D and 3D Bently applications
  • Understanding design concept for roads, earthworks, water management  and drainage
  • Problem solving attitude
  • Ability to work in a team-environment
