Job Description:

As a Senior Lease and Loan Documentation Specialist, you will be a critical part of the Pitney Bowes team.

This is a Hybrid role. You will need to be able to commute to the Tampa office. This is a full-time position with benefits. There will be no relocation assistance offered for this role. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We will not sponsor position for employment visa status now or in the future (ex. H-1B).

The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $85,000, with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.

You are a Senior Lease and Loan Documentation Specialist. You will be an integral part of the business team with responsibility for the preparation and collection of lease and loan documentation necessary for final funding of transactions. You will collaborate closely with customers, sales, credit, and bank management in the coordination of the closing process, ensuring all documentation is correct and, when necessary, taking action to correct any errors discovered to enable the funding process to start. You work on more than one transaction at a time, so managing varied projects and deadlines is essential to succeed in this position. You have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate information to external and internal customers at all levels of the organization.

You will:

  • Follow all current standard operating procedures and established goals in the timely and accurate completion of all lease and loan documentation requests.
  • Collaborate directly with customers, responding to questions and following up with collecting the pending information needed to close loans.
  • Review completed loan packages for accuracy, adherence to compliance, credit, legal, funding and booking requirements.
  • Ensure loan documentation is processed in accordance with policies and guidelines.
  • Record and store all transaction documentation and contracts in line with record retention policies.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures to maintain appropriate transaction security perfection and filings. This will include but is not limited to title and UCC filings.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management, Finance, and other departments in the company in the creation of appropriate final agreements.
  • Provide information in internal and external audits as needed.
  • Provide updates to leadership on your work status and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Establish a good working relationship with internal team and customers.
  • Additional /flexible hours may be required based on business cycle.

Qualifications as a Senior Lease and Loan Documentation Specialist, you have:

  • A high school diploma with some higher-level education or related certification preferred.
  • Three years’ prior experience in the commercial lending industry.
  • Strong understanding of different company types and required documents for each type.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills interacting with customers, teammates, and all levels of management.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • An appreciation for the importance of being extremely accurate in what you do.
  • An ability to exercise sound judgment, manage complex transactions, and work within tight deadlines.
  • A penchant for being detail orientated and extreme accuracy in what you do.
  • Strong verbal, written and organizational skills, strong attention to detail and a penchant for problem solving, critical thinking, and accuracy.

Preferred but not Required:

  • Paralegal and/or a legal background
  • Experience in the equipment finance or commercial working capital or banking industry
  • Experienced in commercial lease or loan documentation preparation including experience with UCC-1 searches and filings, vehicle titles and commercial insurance binders.
  • Experience with commercial loan documentation software.
