Essential Functions of the Role: The Project Manager manages key business projects. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor, and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.

The successful candidate will lead an Integrated Project Team to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments such as manufacturing, IT, and business projects to ensure all aspects of each project are managed to a successful closure.

Familiar with a variety of project management concepts, practices and procedures. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Enhance departments and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing of new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

• Organizes and conducts project team meetings
• Considerable problem solving and decision-making skills
• Other duties as requested by management

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Coordinate and schedule project resources ensuring all project resources are efficiently utilized on the project based on scheduling and time reporting systems.
• Strong understanding of business project management, process improvement, and change management principles, approaches and methodologies
• Oversee projects from concept through completion including managing project costs, scope, schedule and quality issues, reporting and documentation
• Provide strategic leadership, day-to-day project oversight and management supervision over assignments ensuring all services are delivered following the established methodology, policies and practices
• The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team in the execution and control of product development projects from initiation to close
• Provides team leadership on individual projects. Assigns and checks work
• Maintains effective communication and working relationships with internal and external customers
• Prepares and presents oral and/or written technical reports and project presentations
• Organizes and conducts project team meetings
• Prepares and presents oral and/or written technical reports and project presentations

 

 

 

Key Competencies:

 

• Proven working experience in project management
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
• Ability to work in a technical engineering environment
• Product manufacturing experience
• Ability to develop, lead, motivate and supervise working teams
• Good understand of manufacturing documentation (Bill of Materials, Assembly Drawings, PCB files)

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required typing skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
• Must be able to sit for an extended period of time
