Senior Staff Software Engineer - Backend (B2B)

You’re able to diversify your skills, which not only benefits your team—but also your career. </p> <p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p> <p>Our relationships with our partners are fundamental to both our customers’ success and business growth. You'll help build our Integration Partner Ecosystem - building an API driven ecosystem that provides easy connectivity to our customers to hook into their critical data that powers their essential workflows. You will help build a team focused on some of our largest impact work to our customers and business, as this Ecosystem will help accelerate revenue generation across our customer segments.</p> <ul> <li>You will be a founding engineer of the Integrations team and be responsible for leading the technical vision for the team. </li> <li>Help lead the team through complex product and technical roadmaps, guiding them to consistently successful outcomes. </li> <li>Work to improve the processes, systems, and tools we use to deliver quality products and champion technical initiatives and direction.</li> <li>Build processes to proactively identify and address technical issues as part of team delivery or escalate larger initiatives for prioritization with team leadership.</li> <li>Provide technical mentoring for engineers across the team and facilitate learning through pairing, documentation, and workshops.</li> <li>As the team grows, you will partner closely with Principal Engineers and VPs of Engineering to chart <strong>our API driven ecosystem.</strong></li> <li>Balance ambition and pragmatism to achieve the best business outcomes</li> <li>Be a standard bearer for engineering best practices.</li> <li>Be an engine of optimism, positive change, and continuous improvement within the team</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll bring</strong></p> <p>We’re looking for a creative, collaborative, highly motivated and pragmatic engineer with a proven track record of leading the delivery of complex projects that span multiple teams and have a bottom-line impact.   If this sounds like you and you want to be on a team that has a huge impact across our organization,  we’d love to talk with you!</p> <p><strong>The minimum qualifications for this role include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>9+ years experience developing and supporting software in a production environment</li> <li>7+ years experience programming in an object oriented language such as Java, Python, C# or C++</li> <li>5+ years experience leading engineering projects and initiatives, including the design, development, and implementation of resilient systems, ensuring delivery of reliable services, prioritizing technical improvements with cross-functional teams, and/or driving technical vision</li> <li>Expert in RESTful API design (idempotency, pagination, error handling, status codes, etc.) and building systems communicating with many 3rd party APIs.</li> <li>Professional English proficiency in verbal and written communication</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additionally, these are the preferred qualifications that would indicate a particularly strong candidate:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years experience developing and supporting resilient services, and building systems communicating with many 3rd party APIs</li> <li>Experience working with cloud computing technologies such as AWS or GCP </li> <li>3+ years experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases</li> <li>Professional Polish proficiency in verbal and written communication</li> </ul> <p><strong>How you’ll grow</strong></p> <p>Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:</p> <ul> <li>Complete Sprout’s New Hire training program alongside other new Sprout team members.</li> <li>Get acclimated to the team's current Objectives and Key Results, along with future product roadmap priorities.</li> <li>Learn about our current <strong>Partnerships &amp; Ecosystem</strong> technical and product vision.</li> <l
