Position Purpose
Under frequent supervision, gain a broad understanding of the RLI business through real-world underwriting experience and on-the-job training.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate and work closely with underwriters and management to support the underwriting operation.
Analyze and interpret data from various systems and underwriting sources.
Set-up submissions and prepare quotes for underwriters.
Research and deliver investigative findings to underwriters and management.
Complete project-based assignments as assigned.
Education & Experience
Requires current enrollment in a College/University institution pursuing a college degree.
0-2 years of experience in a related field or position.
Open to all majors. Strong preference toward candidates with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Knowledge, Skills, & Competencies
Ability to analyze and resolve basic issues utilizing critical thinking skills.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with others.
Demonstrates strong work ethic.
Possesses relationship building skills.
Possesses basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
