Requirements

 

Job Title: Lift Operations Assistant Manager

Status: Full-Time Year-Round, Salaried-Exempt

Reporting To: Manager of Lift Operations


Powder Mountain is currently building our 24/25 winter season Lift Operation Team! This position will ensure the safety of our guests and instill a superior guest service experience. This position will operate the day-to-day lift functioning for our public and private terrain.


Job Performance Expectations:

  • Ensures sufficient staffing
  • Ability/knowledge to use Google Workspace, Payroll, Training, and Safety Reporting Platforms on a daily basis to ensure effective communication between multiple departments.
  • Work closely with Lift Operations Manager to effectively communicate all employee relations concerns. 
  • Assist scheduling of staff to both private and public lift operations, ensuring that all assignments are appropriate based on operator/attendant attributes.
  • Respond to customer complaints to the best of your ability
  • Transportation of Lift Operators and assisting staff to assigned stations
  • Snow removal, ramp maintenance, lift line mazes
  • Pre-operational morning checks completed / checklist provided
  • Ensuring cleanliness of lift loading and unloading zones and Lift shacks
  • Proper documentation for lift related incidents following Powder Mountain Policies and Procedures
  • Always assist when needed due to short staffing or emergency situations
  • Routinely check on staff to ensure compliance with task at hand/provide breaks if necessary and respond to all calls regarding Lift Operations
  • Ensure shutdown procedures are followed per Lift Operations training procedures and no guests are left on the line
  • Ensure compliance with ANSI B77 standards, Utah Tram Board rules and regulations and all Powder Mountain policies and procedures.  
  • Identify problem areas (signs not visible, ropes not in place, potential hazards, etc.) and rectify them as soon as possible.
  • Report immediately any unresolved issues to your direct Supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a guest facing role.
  • High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree -preferred 
  • 2-3 years’ experience in lift opera
