Summary

Reports to a Chief Officer and provides administrative/secretarial and office management support. Performs a wide variety of duties and responsibilities, as well as special project assignments and administrative duties.

Education and Formal Training:     Post High School training (technical or vocational school) required. Associate degree referred. Some college training in business related subjects and/or Business College training, or a combination of education and experience determined by the Vice President to qualify the individual for the duties described.

Work Experience:    Two years or more of general clerical/secretarial experience with two years at the executive or administrative level.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:     Manages confidential matters without violating the confidence involved. Is able to work a flexible schedule, i.e., attend meetings before and/or after regular office hours. Is able to research and compile/compose various data for reports. Composes replies to correspondence and inquiries. Works under pressure of deadlines and frequent interruptions. Manages public contacts in a manner that reflects credibily on the Hospital and the office of the Administrator. Has integrity and a sense of responsibility in fulfilling duties.

Physical Requirements:     Long periods of sitting with minimal standing. Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must possess auditory and visual acuity in order to accurately perform job functions.
