POSITION SUMMARY:
This Field Service Quality Manager will lead the department’s efforts to improve the services provided to our customers. The successful candidate will also work with other managers in the department to improve the processes and execution of our services. When not assigned to a job site, this position requires presence in the office at our Pelham, AL location.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
Review the content of all equipment inspection reports and ensure they meet the content standard. This includes notifying the Construction Manager of any supervisors whose reports consistently do not meet the PEB standard when initially submitted.
Ensure that reports are assigned to the supervisors in CrewConx and completed within 2 weeks.
Responsible for the delivery of the inspection reports to the customers.
Participate in the General Foreman program with responsibilities that include:
Identifying employees who meet the qualifications to be a GF/LM and proposing these candidates to the Field Service Management Team for assignment.
Training and observing the performance of all Lead men.
Perform on-site observation of PEB field crews at customer sites, including:
Observing crew member performance.
Performing onsite training.
Filling out crew member observation reports.
Ensuring that millwright and welding performance meet the PEB standard.
Review all Field Service job orders for clarity and correctness. All job orders are to be reviewed before the Field Service planning meeting, with any corrections communicated to the field estimator. Only vetted job orders should be presented at the field service meeting.
Cross-train on Field Service Personnel procedures.
Manage the skillset training of our millwrights and welders.

Qualifications

ATTRIBUTES:
Must be able to operate in a very dynamic and team-oriented environment.
General understanding of Quality Control processes.
Ability to learn the equipment we service and understand the mechanical tolerances of the equipment.
Must have a current CWI Certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
Must be physically capable of accessing all locations at customer sites.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read drawings.
Must have OSHA 10 certification.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Certified Weld Inspector (CWI).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Mechanical/Industrial Construction Quality Control and/or Project Management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
BS/BA from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
BS in Engineering or related field.
