We are looking to hire a dedicated part-time IT Support Technician who will act as a liaison between the NIQ Infrastructure team and provide IT support for workstations to be deployed for the BASES Neuro business.

This is a part-time onsite position with expected hours being 20 per week. This person will work out of the NIQ office located in Berkeley.

Job Description

The IT Support Technician will assist with workstation imaging, software installations, laptop troubleshooting, refurbishment of laptops, and neuro-supported hardware. The Infra Technician will also work with desktop engineering, active directory, NIQ cybersecurity, network support, and other infrastructure teams to provide required IT support for the Neuro process. This person will also help oversee and implement the test workstation infrastructure and deployment to the external panelists.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is passionate about his work and enjoys working with colleagues from different backgrounds and geographic locations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with IT teams to image and onboard laptops to support the expansion needs of the business.
  • Work with the equipment manager to troubleshoot and refurbish laptops.
  • Replace and install hardware for laptop upgrades.
  • Track and manage compliance of assets for Enterprise updates and Cybersecurity policies.
  • Liaison with Desktop Configuration, Security, Network, and enterprise infrastructure teams.
  • Drive operational excellence through quality control.
  • Plan deployment of Enterprise and Cybersecurity policy changes.
  • Collaborate with remote IT team members to build and maintain positive, productive team relationships.
  • Develop positive relationships with the business and other functions involved in downstream technical processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with laptop/desktop setup.
  • Ability to be on-site at the Berkeley office 20 hours a week.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and be prompt in responses.
  • Good at problem-solving and paying attention to details.
  • High School Diploma or GED, bachelor's degree in Networking or Information Technology preferred.
  • Fluency in English to communicate effectively.

Additional Information

The hourly rate for this position is $40.00.  Pay is determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location and other relevant factors.
