This position requires an experienced professional with a strong understanding of high voltage automotive systems, and the challenges of integrating such systems within a vehicle. Required

• Be part of a passionate and highly driven team of multi-disciplinary engineers developing the next generation HV system and architecture.
• Lead a team in delivery of the HV charging system engineering deliverables including defining use cases, system diagrams, requirements, DVP&R, EOL, FMEA.
• Act as main interface between the HV systems team and cross functional stakeholders.
• Define interfaces between electrical, mechanical and software components.
• Derive subsystem requirements and verification test definitions.
• Track and communicate sub-system requirements specifications, validation test procedures & requirements verification.
• Collaborate with program team to develop efficient processes to speed up product development cycles .
• Create and maintain documentation strategy of product specifications, test and data analysis results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in HV systems and/or automotive industries
• Passion for driving elegant system design from product to engineering solution.
• Solid understanding of engineering first principles and system engineering.
• Fundamental understanding of battery technology, high-voltage safety and charging controls.
• Familiarity of EV charging standards and protocols. (CCS, J1772, ISO 15118 etc.)
• Understanding of high voltage distribution hardware and software system engineering.
• Experience performing or participating in DFMEA and building DVP&R for high voltage systems.
• Ability to quickly comprehend complex systems, identify problems and effectively coordinate an action plan to drive decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both technical and non-technical environments.
• Ability to solve open-ended engineering problems using systems level thinking.
• A detail-oriented personality with solid documentation and reporting skills.
• Ownership mindset, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit.

Preferred

• Experience with hardware-related system development (e.g., complex control units, vehicle electrical architecture, etc.)
• Vehicle data logging, calibration and data analysis using Vector tool chain or similar.
• Experience defining test plans, designing test setups, and analyzing data.

• Knowledge of automotive and safety standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, IEC, UL, SAE, GB, etc.)
• Experience with product failure analysis
• Experience managing product development cycles
• Experience with automated requirements management tools (e.g., JAMA, Cameo, Polarion, etc.)
• Experience with Atlassian Software (JIRA, Confluence)

Education

• BS (and preferably MS or PhD) in a relevant engineering discipline
