  • Estimated hourly base pay:  $19.33 hourly (minimum) - $24.13 hourly (midpoint) - $28.94 (maximum). Plus, overtime

Are you ready to make your mark?  If you’re a Maintenance Mechanic (1st shift), we have an exciting opportunity for you.  This position is responsible for addressing urgent work orders, as needed, and performing associated daily maintenance and repair activities on basic machines.

What you will be doing

  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure that building systems operate efficiently and do not deteriorate. (Not applicable for Oil Room)
  • Determine and gather the necessary tools and materials needed to perform required maintenance activities and repairs
  • Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall and other parts of building structures.
  • Assists other facilities mechanics with tasks as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • High School Diploma required or equivalent required or equivalent. US department if transportation hazmat employee training certification (49 CRF) preferred. RCRA and universal waste training preferred.
  • Less than 2 years mechanical related work experience preferred.
  • Driver’s License Required. Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Hand Tools: Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of basic hand tools (e.g., wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, scrappers, box cutters)
  • General knowledge of machines and equipment functionality, and how tools could be used on such equipment/machines. This includes the ability to learn new systems quickly, understanding how parts relate, and how they impact system functionality. The position also requires manual dexterity or the ability to work quickly with hands
