Job Description

Now Hiring Security Shift Supervisor to work at a shopping mall in Doral, FL! 

 

As a Security Shift Supervisor, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, Government and more. The Security Shift Supervisor will function as a liaison between the site supervisor, Account Manager/Field Operations Manager, and professional security officers. Supervise staff on assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within approved empowerment range.

Pay Rate: $18.50/per hour.

Must have (No Exceptions): 

  • Valid Florida Security License D License 
  • A valid driver’s license is required. 
  • Must have Security Supervisory Experience

 

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Conduct a weekly schedule of officers.
  • Daily meeting updates with the client
  • Complete understanding of commercial and residential property
  • Required, ability to use a computer or tablet.  
  • Required, comfortable working outdoors in all elements of the weather for the entire shift.  
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.  
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.  
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise the day-to-day security operations of an assigned client site.
  • Foot patrol
  • Coordinate the weekly schedule with Operations Manager
  • Ensure all Security Professional are in Allied and Site compliance.
  • Manage a team of security officers, site and/or shift supervisors including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development, and support. 
  • Ensure the client site is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property. 
  • Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both clients and employees. 
  • Coordinate necessary support services to effectively manage client sites to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service. 
  • Ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met. 
  • Assure regular communication of issues or program with Client. 
  • Manage any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately. 
  • Other management responsibilities as determined by leadership. 
  • Communicate staffing needs via Requisition Form; assist recruiters in identifying, interviewing, and hiring quality candidates. 
  • Develop staff in both technical and professional skills through performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, MSO training, annual formal performance evaluations, recognition, etc.) 
  • Assure that employee grievances are heard and resolved (with help from appropriate support employees, as required) and that personnel records are updated and accurate (Change of Status forms, rosters, etc.)
