Overview
The 9-week internship on Oak View Group's Global Partnerships team will give you exposure across OVG's owned-and-operated venues (e.g. Climate Pledge Arena, Moody Center, Mullet Arena, UBS Arena, Acrisure Arena, CFG Bank Arena), third-party sales properties (e.g. Naming Rights/MLB/NHL Jersey Patches), our Arena Alliance property (i.e. 36 NBA and NHL teams across North America), and OVG 360 (300+ managed facilities). Your role will focus on both partnership sales and activation for the various properties listed above in OVG’s portfolio. The sales aspect will provide exposure to the process from prospecting to contract and will consist of research, pitch development, presentations, and building term sheets. The activation component will include supporting and delivering upon executed contracts for our partners and clients.
This internship will give you a glimpse of a career in corporate partnerships, allowing you to learn, ideate and act on some of the most prestigious properties in sport and entertainment.
There will be internships across seven different locations for this Global Partnerships internship program – LA, New York, Seattle, Phoenix, Austin, Coachella Valley, and Baltimore. Upon hiring for a specific location, we will provide a more detailed program that outlines the responsibilities as it relates to the most applicable and current projects at each location.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $20.00.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities• Learn and familiarize yourself with the ways in which the Global Partnerships team operates and get a glimpse of the daily responsibilities of working on property sales and management• Become familiar with the sales process, property prospecting criteria, current conversations and current target categories by looking through the pipeline and discussing with the individuals in charge of the relative projects• Familiarize and become fluent in operating sales platforms such as Salesforce/Kore/SponsorUnited• Research new target categories and companies based on the respective projects (i.e. Arena Alliance, CFG Bank Arena, UBS Arena, Climate Pledge Arena, Acrisure Arena, Mullet Arena, OVG 360, and third-party properties / clients)• Learn how to create high-level brands briefs for OVG sales staff at varying points in the sales conversation (one before prospecting, one prior to introductory meeting, one prior to head-to-head meeting• Assist in building brand proposals• Support in the planning and execution of partnership activation at venue events• Learn the components of deal fulfillment while organizing activation resources• Assist with the creation of playbooks for new and existing partners for the upcoming NBA and NHL seasons• Create end of season recap decks to present back to teams and clients
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Must be a current student or recent graduate of a college or university with a major in a related field (sport management, business, finance, real estate, econ, communications, etc)
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
