Join Summit's team and partner with hiring managers to find, select, and hire top talent which exemplifies Summit’s values and provides a foundation for future growth. Act as Summit’s brand ambassador and persuasively communicate Summit’s employee value proposition to passive and active candidates. Identify future talent needs and develop pipelines through proactive sourcing and recruiting. Work closely with Summit’s leadership to improve the depth of talent across the organization and meet the needs of accelerating organizational growth.
As a Talent Strategist, you will:
- Through exceptional internal customer service inspire confidence and establish relationships of trust with hiring managers and executive leadership across the organization.
- Apply innovative sourcing techniques to find active and passive candidates and establish a network of talent and resources.
- Solicit and pursue referrals from current employees and industry contacts.
- Participate in college recruiting initiatives including career fairs, screening, interviewing, and ongoing involvement with partner universities (will require heavy travel in February and September).
- Complete detailed job scope conversations with hiring managers to define position specifications.
- Proactively screen application and resume submittals to identify top candidates. Conduct initial phone screens to prequalify candidates, and persuasively market opportunities within the organization.
- Utilize all available filtering resources to determine role and cultural fit including assessments, references, multiple interviews, background checks, and drug screen.
- Ensure all candidates are provided timely updates concerning the status of their applications.
- Select role finalists and present to hiring manager. Coordinate on-site interviews with hiring managers.
- Seek continuous improvement of Summit’s recruitment and onboarding procedures to ensure exceptional candidate experience.
- Participate in ongoing training for hiring managers on the recruiting process, EEO guidelines, selection criteria, and, behaviorally-based and competency-linked interviewing.
- Manage business relationships with specialized recruiting agencies in multiple business disciplines to fill temporary, contract and direct-hire sourcing needs.
- Work with Associate Services department to assist with all employment-related federal and state compliance reporting and develop appropriate metric reporting. Ensures that Summit is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws regarding hiring issues.

Qualifications
As an ideal candidate you will:
- Have a proven track record of communicating persuasively and with empathy in both verbal and written forms to every level of associate, from executives to front line associates.
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to derive innovative strategies and implement them in a timely, effective manner.
- Be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Be self-directed and able to complete complex tasks with little supervision or guidance.
- Possess an enthusiastic “Associate as Customer” approach to work.
- Be extremely well organized and have strong attention to detail.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software programs.
- Excellent communicator.
Additional skills that will help drive your success:
- Previous full-cycle recruiting experience in a high volume, multi-site corporate environment.
- Experience operating in an organization with a process improvement culture.
- Verbal and written fluency in Spanish.
