Position Overview:
The Senior Accounting Manager will support the team in critical analyses of financial activities as well as timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes. This role offers a tremendous opportunity to gain experience within a growing company (and small Finance team) and have significant exposure to leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, partnering with operations to ensure accuracy of results and balances
Prepare / review journal entries, perform account reconciliations and fluxes
Manage global operating expense and related prepaid and accruals processes
Work cross-functionally with Finance, IT, HR and Operations to drive important initiatives and improvements
Support external and internal audits and other local financial compliance requirements in relevant territories, including preparation of workpapers and memos
Support special projects and process improvement programs
Initial Responsibilities (Day 1 – 3 months)
Assist in selecting, developing testing and implementing a new ERP system (likely Netsuite) which will allow the company to exit a TSA agreement in 12-18 months and completely separate from Seller as a stand-alone business
Develop and maintain 13 week cash flow forecasting
Manage the company’s T&E and AP management
Direct migration of biweekly payroll data generated by outside service (ADP) into seller’s SAP system for 12-18 month duration of TSA
Special projects as company evolves from operating under TSA to stand alone position.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
4+ years' experience in Accounting roles, with a mix of public accounting and private company experience preferred
Experience in a startup or carve out environment preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards and ability to assess, analyze and thoroughly document accounting positions
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manipulate spreadsheets, create pivot tables and summarize data from multiple sources
Direct experience performing detailed and data intensive reconciliations
Effective at writing and presenting analyses for a variety of partners / users
Familiar with using NetSuite
