We have an immediate need for an onsite Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer (Compliance) to support Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) in Marlborough, MA. LADS programs include Global Patriot, Ghost-Eye / Lower Tier Air & Missile Defense, National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile, Stinger, Next Generation Short-Range Interceptor, TOW, Javelin, Excalibur, and counter unmanned aerial systems.

Locations

Software Quality collaborates with Engineering (Software, Systems, Integration/Test, Safety) and other Quality functions (Program Quality Leads, Hardware Quality).

Activities occur ONSITE every week and every day (Monday through Friday).

  • Daily activities occur at primary Marlborough MA site (1001 Boston Post Road).
  • Collaborative visits occur semi-monthly to Tewksbury MA (50 Apple Hill Drive).
  • Test witnessing occurs monthly at Andover MA site (362 Lowell Street).
  • Test witnessing occurs annually at Pelham NH site (50 Bush Hill Road).

What You Will Do - Role Summary

Within Quality & Mission Assurance, the Software Quality Engineering department performs classified activities in secure labs and unclassified activities in dedicated workspaces.

SWQE Tasks – Review of Document Deliverables (CDRL), Command Media (Policies), SW Release Packages (Windchill PDM, Azure DevOps), SW Requirements Changes, SW/System Defects, SW Pulls (Code Reviews), Media, and Test Artifacts. Participation in Peer Reviews (SW, SE), Control Boards (CCB, SRB), Tracking Books (Metrics), Test Witnessing (SQT, FQT), and Audits.


What You Will Learn - Focus Areas

  • Compliance – Ensure digital products adhere to contractual requirements. Review and approve inputs/outputs to/from partner organizations.
  • Products – Ensure integrity of the technical data package. Identify, collect, and measure software quality attributes, metrics, and data.
  • Improvement – Perform independent evaluations and risk assessments across lifecycle. Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Processes – Leverage modern experiences with software development and quality best practices. Increasingly adopt Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Teamwork – Interact with customers, product development, and test personnel. Provide guidance to senior leadership, team members, and group peers.

Qualifications - You Must Have

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) Education and 8 years of Quality or Engineering experience.
  • Eight years’ working experience in a Quality or Technical role and applying principles across the following:
    • Agile: SCRUM teams, sprints / increments, stories / points, backlog / burndown, continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
    • Testing: execution witnessing, location, plans, procedures, requirements traceability, reports.
