Purpose

 Assist in data collection activities for pre-award grant proposal preparation (National Institute of Health funded T32 mechanism) as part of work performed to support efforts of the Cain Center for Nursing Research.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative assistance to the Center Director during large grant submissions. Assist with extracting demographic and historical academic data from multiple schools with UT Austin.

  • Assist in data table generation and formatting as per grant guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Associates degree or higher. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in office software and tools such as MS office, BOX, Qualtrics, etc. Strong written and verbal communication as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students. Experience with calendaring software and platforms, which may include Google, Microsoft Outlook, Doodle, Calendly, etc. Willingness to learn new skills as required by the position. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree or relevant educational background. Prior administrative experience supporting small teams and/or managers. Experience working in a financial or a higher education environment.

Hourly Rate

$23.08

Working Conditions

  • Attire: Business Casual

  • Standard Office Environment, Use of manual dexterity, Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation

Work Shift

  • Hours per week - 10

  • It is expected that incumbent will report to work on-site for two days a week, 5 hours per day. There is flexibility regarding the days(s) of the week, but consistency is expected.
