Senior Director - Cardiovascular Service Line

About the role
POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Director Cardiovascular Services/APG Cardiology is a knowledgeable and respected leader in the organization. This position is responsible for the clinical, administrative and fiscal operations of the Cardiovascular Services to include but not limited to coordination, development, financial management and strategic planning of all aspects of the program. The Corporate Director is responsible for the overall growth and development of all cardiovascular services. This position coordinates inpatient and ambulatory patient care activities through collaboration with the onsite management team members, hospital staff and physicians. Actively pursues growth opportunities through the development of new programs and services based on community needs and healthcare trends. Seeks out, builds and maintains working relationship with external referring health care organizations, affiliates and individuals to provide ready access to new revenue opportunities as they arise. This position coordinates service delivery by utilizing a collaborative, cost-effective approach to meet the demands of today's healthcare market. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Master's Degree in related field required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: 5-10 years experience in a health related industry required, with responsibilities in management and/or program development. Documented record of proven accomplishments within the areas of planning, fiscal management, and clinical practice management required. Solid understanding of TQM, organizational vision and values; highly developed oral and written communication abilities, to include strong interrelationship skills, as well as organizational, analytical, financial and project management skills required. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire. PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping and crouching a majority of the workday. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
