The SQL Developer position regularly extracts data from internal and external databases and formats those extracts for reporting or interface purposes. Applies logic that transforms data into information, which is ultimately shared with customers and/or internal users, such as other departments or upper management, to aid in decision making processes.

Individual tasks shall include but not be limited to the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, support, and maintain all SQL queries used in e-Courier web reporting.
  • Design, support, and maintain all SSIS ETL packages for data warehousing.
  • Support data extractions from MS Dynamics GP.
  • Utilize DBxtra or similar tools to format and schedule user-friendly reports.
  • Lead major data extraction and reporting efforts to support internal (Legal, HR, Finance, Operations, etc.) and
  • external customers.
  • Work with development team to provide data for software applications.
  • Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all database content within USPack.
  • Maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health, performance, and
  • optimizing when necessary.
  • Act as a consultant for others who utilize the data contained in the information systems.
  • Serve on special project teams as needed.
  • Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Data expert specializing in analyzing, collecting, storing and creating electronic data.
  • Good to expert skill set with database analytics and querying tools, including SQL.
  • Skillful at deciphering, constructing, supporting, and maintaining database queries.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical skill set.
  • Willingness to learn new applications as needed for the business.
  • Proactive and resourceful. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to establish a high level of trust and credibility in the organization. Confidentiality and discretion are essential.
  • Ability to resolve issues with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to resolve technical solutions to meet business needs.
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed.

Qualifications - Experience, Education, Certificates, and Licenses:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of progressive technical experience in a related industry required.
  • 2 years’ experience with data analysis.
  • 3 years’ experience with SQL (MS SQL preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Stored Procedures.
  • Experience with VBA programming in Excel.
  • Experience with Database Performance Tuning.
  • Working knowledge of SSIS.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Scheduler and PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of Python (preferred).
  • Familiarity with AWS Database Migration Services.
Shift Days: Monday-FridayShift Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM(Available to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays preferred.)Pay Rate: $80,000 salaried (Dependent upon experience level.)Work Location: RemoteTravel: On occasion
