Principal Policy and Project Officer - Office of the Secretary - 976627

Duties

To provide strategic and high-quality policy development, analysis and advice that supports effective decision making, informed by relevant legislation, departmental and intergovernmental directions. To assist in the day-to-day management of the Culture and Growth Unit, including the financial and human resources.

Period of Appointment

Ongoing - ASAP Start Date

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Hours per fortnight

73.5 hours per fortnight

Essential Requirements

The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.

• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).

Desirable Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification.  
• A current driver’s licence.
