About the role

Position Summary:

            Responsible to perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with state regulations and facility protocols. The GXMO will work closely with patients, technologists, and healthcare providers to produce high-quality radiographic images that assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment.

           

Position Responsibilities/Standards:

 

General

  • Attend department, clinic or company meetings as required
  • Demonstrate sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns
  • Consistently work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow staff members.
  • Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
  • Attend required annual in-service program and/or required CEU’s
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all company policies and procedures.
  • Consistently demonstrate attention to detail in documentation, recording and patient information.
  • Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identifies potentially unsafe situations and notifies supervisor

 

Specific Duties

  • Operate general radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic imaging exams within scope of licensure/certification.
  • Position patients properly and ensure their safety and comfort during procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain imaging equipment, rooms, and supplies.
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards.
  • Assist radiologic technologists, physicians, or other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with Ohio Department of Health (ODH) regulations and GXMO licensure requirements.
  • Be available to physicians during office hours
  • Ensure equipment is maintained properly

Additional Duties

  • OSHA
  • Travel to satellite offices as necessary

Education/Experience Required:

  • Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program in healthcare
  • GXMO certification in upper extremities, lower extremities and spine
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS/CPR)

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements for the position include the ability to frequently hear and communicate orally, see up close and at a distance, read and comprehend, stand, sit, walk, reach, handle, and/or feel objects.  Must be able to climb, pull, push and kneel.  Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs.  Average lift 25-50 lbs.
