As the Senior Manager, Operations PMO, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and supporting a high-performing team responsible for implementing RXO’s Managed Transportation solutions. You’ll drive cultural and operational improvements across all levels of the supply chain network, influencing key stakeholders to enhance performance and efficiency. Leading strategic projects across the Managed Transportation business, you’ll work cross-functionally to implement solutions, optimize operations and monitor the effectiveness of key initiatives to ensure long-term success.

 

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Coordinate and collaborate across teams to ensure alignment on project requirements, deadlines and schedules
• Manage change requests, ensuring all stakeholders understand the impacts and maintaining effective project communication plans
• Conduct post-project evaluations to assess successes, identify areas for improvement and refine future strategies
• Lead efforts to develop and improve SOPs, gathering requirements, documenting processes and streamlining workflows
• Assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in documenting processes, developing flowcharts and drafting clear, actionable SOPs
• Review, refine and enhance existing SOPs, providing expert consultation and revisions to improve clarity and efficiency
• Provide leadership in managing multiple projects, ensuring clear task dependencies, risk mitigation and achievement of key milestones
• Identify and implement process improvements by working closely with business leaders to optimize operations
• Support business development efforts, assisting in prospect presentations, data analysis and solution design
• Develop and refine best practices for RXO implementation processes, ensuring alignment with quality standards
• Apply project management expertise to deliver high-quality solutions within agreed timelines and scope
• Oversee customer onboarding and implementation, ensuring a smooth transition and operational success for new business

 

What you’ll need to excel:

• 5 years of experience as a Project or Program Manager in transportation, logistics or a related operational field
• Strong background in transportation and logistics, with experience in areas such as carrier procurement, load planning and execution, freight audit and payment, transportation analysis and/or warehousing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and hands-on experience with the implementation of Transportation Management Systems (TMS)

 

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• Willingness to travel up to 30% as required
• Additional experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing or an analytical field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project or other project planning software
• Experience with Agile methodologies and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines using strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Lean or Six Sigma Certification, PMP, or equivalent project management credentials
• Strong communication, leadership and customer-facing experience
• Self-motivation to work effectively with minimal supervision or in a te
