What you will do:The Vice President of Global Tax & Tax Officer will lead the company’s global tax strategy, compliance, and reporting functions. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of income tax, indirect tax, international tax, and tax provision reporting (ASC 740), while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on strategic business decisions with tax implications. The VP of Tax will also oversee a team and help scale the function to meet the needs of a growing, publicly traded organization with international operations.How you will make an impact:
- Lead all aspects of the company’s global tax function, including compliance, planning, controversy, and reporting
- Own the quarterly and annual income tax provision process (ASC 740)
- Oversee U.S. and international tax filings, transfer pricing, and indirect tax compliance
- Provide strategic tax guidance on M&A, structuring, treasury, and equity matters
- Monitor tax law changes and advise on business impacts
- Develop and lead a high-performing tax team
- Optimize processes through technology, automation, and strong internal controls
- Oversee informational reporting (e.g., W-9, 1099) and ensure accurate tax reporting
- Communicate tax updates to executive leadership and the board
- Manage relationships with advisors, auditors, and tax authorities
- Master’s degree required or equivalent years of applicable experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or international equivalent required
- 10+ years of progressive tax and leadership experience, preferably in a public company
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and international tax law, including ASC 740, transfer pricing, and indirect tax
- Proficient in corporate tax operations, including income, sales, and property tax
- Experience with enterprise tax and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, CorpTax, OneSource, Vertex)
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; strong overall tech and data analysis proficiency
- Proven leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills; business-minded with a collaborative approach
