Job Description

As a Security Professional - Commercial Site - Front Desk - Full Time in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries.

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees at the assigned location. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing a welcoming presence while maintaining a high level of customer service. You will help to deter security-related incidents by remaining attentive and approachable, responding to inquiries, and assisting with any access control needs. This role is ideal for individuals who are comfortable using computers or tablets and enjoy interacting with people in a professional environment. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at the front desk.
• Monitor access to the location, verify identification, and assist with visitor management to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Support the overall security-related operations of the location by remaining alert and attentive to surroundings while stationed at the front desk.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
