Senior Vehicle Safety Systems Engineer

<p>We are seeking a Senior / Lead Vehicle Safety Systems Engineer to own and lead all aspects of vehicle safety systems development, validation, and certification. Based in Denmark, you will define the overall strategy, requirements, and execution plans for passive and active safety systems, ensuring Zenvo’s hypercars meet the highest global safety standards.</p> <p>This is a senior technical leadership role, working closely with the Homologation Manager, Attribute Engineers, and cross-functional engineering teams. You will also guide suppliers and external test partners, ensuring robust integration of safety requirements from early CAD compliance work through to full vehicle validation.</p> <p>The successful candidate will also establish and manage CAD-based compliance master data (vision zones, interior/exterior impact points, pedestrian protection areas, etc.) using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE CAD/PLM.<br/></p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Define and lead the validation and certification strategy for passive and active/ADAS safety systems.</li> <li>Ensure alignment with global regulatory standards (FMVSS, UNECE) and NCAP protocols.</li> <li>Provide technical leadership across internal engineering teams and external partners.</li><li>Own the system-level validation plan, managing execution across internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Partner with the Homologation Manager to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Oversee supplier engagement for safety-critical systems, ensuring robust specifications, integration, testing and delivery of appropriate certificates.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Lead development and ownership of CAD-based compliance master data for safety systems.</li> <li>Manage vision zones, pedestrian protection zones, headform/legform impact points, and other compliance-related geometry.</li> <li>Ensure all safety-critical CAD features are accurately integrated across the product development cycle using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE CAD/PLM.</li><li>Drive development of passive safety performance, including crash structures, airbags, and restraint systems.</li><li>Lead integration and validation of active safety and ADAS systems, such as crash avoidance, collision warning, stability control, lane support, and AEB.</li><li>Prototype &amp; Validation Programs (2026 Onwards)</li><li>Lead execution of crash and active safety test programs on prototype vehicles.</li><li>Correlate CAD/simulation compliance data with real-world testing.</li><li>Drive root cause analysis and resolution for any safety performance gaps.</li></ul> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electronics, or Systems Engineering.</li> <li>Significant experience in vehicle safety systems development, ideally including both passive and active/ADAS systems.</li> <li>Proven track record of leading validation and certification programs to global standards (FMVSS, UNECE, NCAP).</li> <li>Strong background in crash testing, active safety/ADAS validation, and supplier system integration.</li> <li>Expert knowledge of CAD-based compliance data management (vision zones, impact points, pedestrian protection).</li> <li>Proficiency in CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE CAD/PLM is mandatory.</li> </ul>
