Direct Support Professional

Position Details

The Direct Support Professional provides direct care, support, and advocacy to assigned consumers in the community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following, community integration, volunteer activities, recreational, and activities of daily living.

 

This position works to implement the home and community services which includes rehabilitative and therapeutic activities to assist consumers to achieve successful outcome/goals.

 

Earn $17.00/hour.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
• Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.
• Community Participation Support certificate preferred
