Job Description
MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated graduate student to join the Finance Department within the Financial Operations Group. This position will report to the Financial Manager in Operations and will support the Program and Funding Operations team by performing various financial and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include updating financial reports, maintaining master data, managing sponsor reports, and assisting with other financial operations tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Financial Manager in collecting, analyzing, and preparing financial reports.
- Utilize templates and tools to efficiently complete financial tasks.
- Support the generation and distribution of monthly sponsor reports.
- Produce financial reports using data warehouse tools.
- Update and manage Grant validity and budget dates.
- Assist with preparing and updating senior leadership presentation slides.
- Process financial transactions in SAP, including funding, deobligations, TEC, and PoP dates.
- Contribute to special projects and perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled in a graduate.
- Available for a 9-month full time temporary assignment.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.
- Customer service-oriented with a professional and positive attitude
Additional Qualifications
- This position requires U.S. citizenship.
- Selected candidates will undergo a pre-employment background check and must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret-level DoD security clearance.
