Duties and Role:
1. Project Management: Lead client rollout projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating resources to ensure timely and successful implementation.
2. Customer Collaboration: Collaborate closely with customers to understand their unique requirements, preferences, and challenges. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance and recommendations to meet their needs effectively.
3. Site Assessment: Conduct comprehensive site assessment to evaluate infrastructure readiness and identify potential obstacles or opportunities for optimization. Gather relevant data and insights to inform rollout strategy and execution.
4. Hardware and Software Implementation: Install, configure, and test hardware and software solutions according to specifications. Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and networks, minimizing disruption and maximizing efficiency.
5. Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training sessions to customers on new technologies, features, and best practices and navigate any technical challenges with confidence.
6. Post-Implementation Support: Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance for clients following the implementation phase. Address any issues or concerns promptly, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and trust including:
• Ensure the review, test and installation of appropriate firmware, security patches and upgrades for all client operating systems;
• Provide recommendations for the improvement of services in their area of responsibility;
• Provide remediation plans for the testing and implementation of third party firmware and security patches.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of project details, including configurations, installation status, and communications. Generate regular reports to track project progress.
Requirements
Skill, Knowledge & Experience:
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in technical support, project management, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
- Proficiency in Client hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites if needed.
- Hold a recognised certification in the subject of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Operating Systems;
- Have demonstrable experience patching and maintaining firmware baselines for hardware
- Able to prepare system manual documentation (development of system installation/user manuals)
- Able to develop training materials (targeted to system users)
- Proven ability to operate on own initiative
Desirable Experience and Education:
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft SCCM/MECM, MDT and other deployment tools;
- Knowledge of end point solutions, (i.e. Symantec Endpoint Protection, Vulnerability Scanners (i.e., Nessus);
- Windows OS certification;
- ITIL Foundation certified;
- Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
