Academic Technology & Media Coordinator (ATMC) and Maintenance Technician (MT)
The Academic Technology and Media Coordinator (ATMC) & Maintenance Technician (MT) positions work collaboratively to support campus operations, ensuring that both digital learning resources and physical facilities function optimally for students and associates.The ATMC serves as the first point of contact for students and associates regarding learning resources, media, and technology. This role manages the Learning Resource Center, assists with digital learning materials, and provides initial support for computing technology and digital classroom resources.The MT is responsible for maintaining campus facilities, performing routine repairs, furniture and equipment maintenance, and assisting with event setup. This position serves as the primary back-up to the Custodian, ensuring the campus remains operational and in excellent condition.Both roles are essential to fostering a smooth educational experience, supporting students, faculty, and staff through a well-maintained learning environment. Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Academic Technology & Media Coordinator (ATMC)
- Provide initial technical support to all campus users, troubleshooting and resolving technology issues when possible
- Manage and maintain software on student-facing computers, ensuring optimal functionality and access to digital learning tools
- Assist with the launch, training, and support for digital learning materials used in classrooms and learning centers
- Coordinate with the IT Department at Campus Support Center to resolve complex technical issues
- Record, track, and document technology-related information, ensuring effective communication between departments
- Attend scheduled calls led by Campus Support Center IT and/or the Academic department to provide updates and receive guidance
- Maintenance Technician (MT)
- Ensure functionality of campus facilities by repairing broken or non-functioning equipment, furniture, and fixtures
- Perform patching, painting, and basic repairs to maintain campus appearance and operational standards
- Replace lights and fixtures as needed, ensuring safe and effective lighting across campus spaces
- Coordinate with facilities repair personnel for equipment maintenance and specialized repairs
- Set up event spaces, arranging tables and equipment as required, and restoring rooms to their original setup post-event
- Process supply and book deliveries, maintaining inventory and bookroom organization
- Serve as primary back-up to the Custodian, assisting in campus cleanliness and upkeep when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned to support campus operations and student success
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a related field (required)
Skills
- Expertise in Microsoft Windows and Office products
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and communicate solutions to users of varying technical proficiency
- Knowledge of basic computer hardware and networking concepts
- Working knowledge of online Learning Management Systems, with Canvas preferred
