Physical Security Systems Installation Project Manager

We are seeking a skilled Physical Security Systems Project Manager to oversee the design, implementation, and management of complex physical security system projects, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and other security systems. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects in security systems, a deep understanding of security technology, and excellent project management skills.Responsibilities:Project Planning and Management:Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for physical security systems.Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and contractors to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and timelines.Ensure compliance with security standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.System Design and Implementation:Collaborate with design teams and engineers to create tailored security solutions based on client requirements.Oversee the installation, integration, and commissioning of physical security systems, ensuring they meet client needs and technical specifications.Conduct site visits to assess progress, troubleshoot issues, and verify that installations align with design requirements.Risk Assessment and Compliance:Conduct security risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation measures.Ensure all physical security installations comply with relevant standards, such as UL, NFPA, and any industry-specific requirements.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physical security technology and regulatory developments.Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination:Work closely with vendors and suppliers to source and evaluate security equipment and materials, ensuring compatibility with project goals.Act as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and the project team, facilitating efficient problem-solving and decision-making.Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, addressing any concerns and ensuring project transparency.Quality Control and Post-Implementation Support:Perform quality assurance and control checks, testing all systems to confirm they operate according to specifications.Provide training for end-users on system operations, emergency procedures, and troubleshooting.Offer post-implementation support and facilitate maintenance plans as required.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Security Management, or related field.5+ years of experience in managing projects within physical security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, intrusion detection).In-depth knowledge of physical security technologies and familiarity with integration best practices.Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and familiarity with CAD for design review.Preferred Qualifications:Certifications such as PMP, PSP (Physical Security Professional), or CPP (Certified Protection Professional).Experience working in environments requiring strict compliance and security measures (e.g., government, critical infrastructure).Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
