Appian is seeking a highly motivated and experienced GTM Partner Enablement Lead to play a critical role in driving the success of our global partner ecosystem. As the Partner Enablement Lead, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing a comprehensive, scalable, and modern enablement strategy that equips Appian’s partners with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to effectively represent Appian’s brand, successfully sell and implement Appian-solutions, and deliver value to customers.

This role is based at our ​h​eadquarters in ​McLean, Virginia. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Employees hired for this position are expected to be in the office 5 days a week to foster that culture and ensure we continue to thrive through shared ideas and teamwork. We believe being in the office provides more opportunities to come together and celebrate working with the exceptional people across Appian.  Travel will be required as needed (10-20% expectation).

What You'll Do:

  • Define Enablement Strategy: Develop a structured strategy and roadmap that outlines the different stages of the partner lifecycle (e.g., onboarding, enablement, growth, maturity) and the sales, technical, marketing, and delivery enablement objectives, activities, and resources for each stage. 

  • Implement Scalable Enablement Programs: Create, implement, and manage enablement programs that provide partners with the necessary training and resources to succeed. This includes developing educational materials, training collateral, webinars, and workshops tailored to Appian’s diverse partner ecosystem and business models (e.g., co-sellers, resellers, solution providers) and leveraging various delivery methods to effectively disseminate the training and resources. 

  • Develop Enablement Resources: Collaborate with internal Appian departments to develop and update practical sales collateral, product guides, playbooks, and other resources that partners and Appian Partner Sales Managers can use to effectively market and sell Appian’s products and services. 

  • Manage Enablement Platforms: Manage and maintain enablement platforms and tools to ensure Appian teams and partners have easy access to relevant partner information and resources. 

  • Track Enablement Program Effectiveness: Establish and monitor metrics and feedback from partners and Appian internal stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of enablement programs, resources, and platforms. 

  • Equip Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal sales leadership and sales enablement teams to equip various Appian departments with partner-relevant information and resources to optimize partner performance and mutual accretive growth.   

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Education, Technology).

  • 5-10 years of experience in partner enablement, sales enablement, or channel management, preferably within the enterprise software industry .

  • Demonstrated understanding of partner business models, organizational structures, and go-to-market strategies.

  • Proven ability to develop and deliver impactful enablement programs that drive measurable results.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence diverse audiences.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other enablement technologies.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • A passion for partner success and a strong customer-centric mindset.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with low-code platforms or related technologies.

  • Familiarity with Appian's platform and partner program.
