What you'll do:

The Account Analysis and Billing Analyst is a new role to Western Alliance Bank and is focused on establishing sustainable procedures and implementing unified standards that promote accuracy, scalability, and a frictionless client experience. This Revenue Product Analyst will be the first in the team to support the Product Team Manager – Revenue Management in building risk management framework to then train new Revenue Product Analysts for commonality in process flows, and in training of these new team members. Your role is integral as you will learn and then become an expert of the bank’s account analysis program, invoicing processes, billing validation approach, and pricing procedures. You will support and coordinate with the Product Team Manager – Revenue Management to design and implement controls to ensure accuracy of all client billing, create controls to minimize leakage, analyze expenses to ensure adherence to budget and/or contractual agreements, monitor adherence to revenue targets, and will guarantee that billing practices comply with applicable laws and regulations.

You will build the foundation for this new team by supporting variety of projects related to customer pricing and packaging, fee waivers and suppression, implementation of new product pricing and changes, vendor invoicing and validation, establishing risk management framework and procedures, and identifying additional operational efficiencies.
You will become deeply immersed in all account analysis functions, including balancing and reconciling of system data, design and execution of financial controls, obtaining appropriate approvals, reviewing data for reasonableness and completeness, and performing variance analysis. This position requires technical and robust understanding of the bank’s software, vendors, and infrastructure. Additionally, this position requires flexibility as this is a ground-up opportunity to create sustainable processes and processes necessary to expand this team, and to support the various initiatives and infrastructure regarding billing, invoicing, and pricing.
  • Participates in a variety of projects, including development and documentation of processes to improve the Analysis & Billing operation.  This includes mapping processes, developing procedures, and communicating results.
  • Leads the analysis of data to determine potential points of failure with processes resulting in revenue leakage and promotes thought into tightening procedures to mitigate revenue leakage.
  • May lead projects pertaining to sales and client-specific billing and pricing challenges.
  • Coordinates with Product Team Manager – Revenue Management to provide meaningful and actionable insight, reporting, and tracking on revenue trends, revenue leakage, key revenue drivers, cost drivers, and insight into fee waivers.
  • Is a system expert of the bank’s Extended Account Analysis (XAA) system.
  • Identifies, escalates, and mitigates deficiencies and inefficiencies which present a previously unrecognized or increased level of risk to the Bank.
  • Coordinates with management to ensure appropriate risk management framework is designed, implemented and documented with procedures for all items related to vendor and client billing/invoicing, and pricing.
  • Effectively communicates with cross-functional areas to ensure awareness of revised procedures and billing and pricing processes.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Financial Technology industry experience is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
  • Experience in vendor management, preferred.
  • Experience with fee schedules, pricing models, pricing bundles/packages, and annual pricing reviews, strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance obligations, industry standards and practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and prepare meaningful reporting for management review.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization including C-Suite executives.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, project management, and collaborative skills required.
  • Prior experience in developing and launching new products is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with FIS and Fiserv systems not required, but strongly preferred, with strong preference for experience with Account Analysis Systems.

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $73,085.00 - $90,278.00 for Las Vegas, NV. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentiv
