Role Overview:
The Director of Event Operations leads the management of key company events, including planning, logistics, support, execution and post-event evaluation. Events include internal meetings to major conferences and partner events. This role drives operational excellence, strengthens brand presence, and aligns events with business goals
What you do daily:
- Design and implement an event operations strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Oversee full-cycle event production: site selection, logistics, budgeting, sponsorships, staffing, execution while partnering closely with the procurement team in matters related to sourcing and negotiations with vendors.
- Drive the logistics for flagship events: Sales Kickoff, President’s Club, Executive Offsites vendor/internal launches.
- Ensure smooth delivery of in-person, hybrid, and virtual events.
- Act as primary liaison for internal and external event stakeholders
- Support the procurement team on corporate travel initiatives, as needed, while focusing on cost reduction and savings.
- Track metrics and deliver post-event reporting to measure ROI and optimize future events.
- Create and uphold risk management protocols: health, safety, contingency planning.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Miscellaneous project support within CRO organization, Marketing, Operations/Development, Finance, and other Executive teams on an as needed basis.
- Assist in the management and delivery of projects related to Cologix ESG initiatives across multiple organizations.
What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 8–10 years of event management experience; 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success in large-scale corporate or public event execution.
- Strong strategic and operational leadership, mentoring, and team-building capabilities.
- Exceptional communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated success in vendor and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency with tools like Cvent, Bizzabo, Asana, Salesforce; Coupa/Netsuite a plus.
- Calm under pressure; quick and effective problem-solving.
- Familiarity with virtual and hybrid event platforms is a plus.

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.
Salary Range$100,000—$120,000 USDNOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
