The Collins Engine Controls & Accessories (EC&A) customer value stream, a part of Engine Control Systems (ECS), serves various engine and airframe customers.   

The EC&A General Electric (GE) Program Management / Value Stream Leader is accountable for the overall customer relationship and business performance, including associated Profit & Loss, throughout the product life cycle. The Senior Manager engages with all Engine Control Systems (ECS) product lines and plant sites to drive customer satisfaction through flawless performance.

What You Will Do

• Responsible for timely communication with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to team members, executives and customers.
• Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) and funding for development and sustaining programs.
• Leads large military and commercial programs to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Establishes milestones, develops and owns program plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitors allocation of resources.
• Lead a cross functional matrixed IPT including contracts, engineering, quality and operations to execute multiple programs.
• Reviews and presents plans and progress reports, monitors the presentation of value stream strategy, progress, and results.
• Leads continuous improvement including initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Identifies and reacts to program problems and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources and changing contractual specifications, and assists in resolution development for escalated problems.
• Assists with leading the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests.
• Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.
• Effective at managing multiple tasks, resolving complex problems, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget to customer needs.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Program management and customer facing experience including leading negotiations.
• Experience leading development programs and new product introduction, with demonstrated success implementing strategies to achieve quality, delivery, reliability, and cost targets.
