Description
Join a mission-driven organization where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our newest sales agents. As the Training Program Manager for New Hire Onboarding, you will design, deliver, and continually enhance learning experiences that empower agents to confidently sell and service our core insurance products through our carrier partnerships. Your work will directly influence sales performance, profitability, and employee retention— while helping build a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
This is a remote role with 10–15% travel for team meetings and training events.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and deliver comprehensive new-hire training programs focused on insurance concepts, product knowledge, and effective sales techniques.
- Build engaging and accessible training materials, including presentations, handouts, and scenario-based case studies.
- Provide clear, in-depth explanations of policy features, coverage options, pricing structures, and carrier partnership offerings.
- Teach proven sales methodologies, including objection handling, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
- Conduct thorough training needs assessments and tailor learning solutions to address skill gaps and knowledge deficiencies.
- Evaluate learner progress and post-training performance, using insights to refine content and increase training effectiveness.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory updates, and market developments to ensure training remains accurate and relevant.
- Offer ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to help new agents build confidence, improve performance, and meet production goals.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide insight-driven recommendations that enhance sales outcomes and support organizational values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3+ years of demonstrated success in a professional sales field or the equivalent combination of experience in sales and training sales professionals
- Must be thoroughly aware and knowledgeable of state regulations and laws regarding auto, home and life products and be able to communicate intricacies simply to sales representatives
- Strong organizational, sales, consulting, LMS assessment skills to manage training programs, perform gap analysis and develop appropriate solution
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management/staff
- Strong coaching and stand up/virtual delivery skills to train in both 1:1 and group settings

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.
