The Psychiatry Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) acts as the key contact to address HCP questions about patient access and reimbursement. The FRM calls directly on HCP, retail and specialty pharmacies, financial support personnel, and Billing & Coding staff, in their assigned, specific geography and proactively provides education on AbbVie Patient Support Programs in support of AbbVie’s Psychiatry portfolio. The FRM responsibilities include providing expert education on the access and reimbursement support tools available from AbbVie and educating HCP offices on payer processes and procedures. The FRM will compliantly coordinate cross functionally with Market Access, Patient Services, and Field Sales to support drug accessibility.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Educate HCPs on patient support programs, including access and reimbursement support tools and services
- Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options such as specialty pharmacy networks and specialty distribution
- Educate on resources available to address access issues
- Provide local expertise regarding national/regional payor policies to educate providers on payer issues, coding changes, and appropriate claims submission processes
- Report back payer trends related for approved products to Patient Services and MHC account management teams
- Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate providers within geography
