OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: 

The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for all aspects of developing, coordinating and delivering service based technical training for Fulton technicians, representatives, contractors and customers that is effective and industry leading. The Technical Training Specialist is responsible for providing all support and services in a manner that is consistent with the company values and operating philosophy. 


ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  • Assesses training needs for new and existing service technicians both internal and external and develop associated training aids such as manuals, handbooks, troubleshooting guides, videos and other digital materials.
  • Continuously evaluate and make changes to significantly improve training effectiveness and the quality of the trained technician pool for Fulton products. 
  • Develop incentive programs to increase engagement in the training programs. 
  • Executes on and off-site training through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, videos and presentations at both Fulton facilities and customer sites. 
  • Tracking and Reporting participant feedback, effectiveness of training, number of field technicians trained and training system operation records. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Certifications and Required Experience):  

  • Experience as a training facilitator and in Instructional designing, performance consulting with strong consultative skills to effectively engage with leaders and various levels of employees. BS in an education preferred.
  • Experience as a training facilitator and in Instructional designing, performance consulting with strong consultative skills to effectively engage with various levels of competency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse groups of participants in a hybrid environment.

DEMONSTRATED CRITICAL COMPETENCIES: 

  • Communication – Ability to ensure information is passed on to others who should be kept informed. Ability to express oneself clearly in conversation and interaction with others. Ability to express oneself clearly in business writing.
  • Customer Satisfaction – Goes beyond basic service expectations to help customer implement complete solutions. Explores options when unable to deliver requested product or service and pursues solutions until the customer is satisfied. Seeks customer feedback and ensures needs have been fully met. Assesses the organization from the customer’s point of view.
  • Diagnostic Information Gathering – The ability to identify the information needed to clarify a situation, seek that information from appropriate sources and use skillful questioning to draw out the information, when others are reluctant to disclose.
  • Technical Expertise – The ability to demonstrate depth of knowledge and skill in a technical area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Light Work – Occasional exertion of 20 pounds or less. Moderate walking, standing and sitting.
  • Repetitive Motion – Substantial movement/motion of the wrists
