Senior Software Engineer

The Role:
As a Full Stack Engineer, you’re responsible for delivering beautiful experiences to Celonis EMS users. You will be at the frontier of frontend development, pushing the boundaries of product, UX, and engineering to quickly grow our EMS platform with easy to use experiences.

Users need help categorizing and simplifying their data in order to explore and identify insights to optimize their unique business processes. We are building the next generation of process insights with object-centric process mining to help them save time and money.

The work you’ll do: 

• Design and implement large, complex new features in Angular TypeScript
• Lead projects with frontend technologies and architectures
• Develop server technologies using Java Spring Boot
• Recognize and take action to improve the frontend developer work environment (Nx, Jest, OpenAPI, Docker, shell, etc)
• Play an active role in product discussions and shaping the roadmap
• Contribute to and extend the core architecture and components
• Drive application performance improvements for big data
• Set an example for and mentor and grow your teammates
• Write clean, understandable, and testable code
• Provide feedback on the designs and code of peers 
• Build, launch, and maintain features in production
• Help define a fun and inclusive engineering culture 

The product you’ll work on:

• You’ll help building the next generation of process mining!
• Has features that make it easier to model customers processes in ways that match business reality
• Enable automatic insights by using Celonis’s process catalog to automatically tag customer data
• Allow the user to add semantic meaning to their business graph which they can then query in milliseconds
• Partner with our AI/ML teams to suggest modelling steps that save users time modeling their complex source data
• Build towards enabling all-of-business process insights
• High visibility to sales & executive leadership

The qualifications you’ll typically need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience in frontend development, e.g. Frontend: Angular TypeScript, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS
• 2+ years of experience in server development, e.g. Server: Java Spring Boot, C/C++, Python, NodeJS
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Passion and motivation to learn and grow as a software engineer

The base salary range below is for the role in the specified location, based on a Full Time Schedule.

Total compensation package will include base salary + bonus/commission + equity + benefits (health, dental, life, 401k, and paid time off). Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and that the actual total compensation offer will be determined based on various factors, including, but not limited to, applicant's qualifications, skills, experiences, and location.The base salary range below is for the role in California, based on a Full Time Schedule. $164,000—$214,000 USD
