JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Re-entry Data Specialist provides administrative support for all program initiatives. This position is responsible for working with various College team members, Nebraska Department of Correctional Services administrators, evaluators and re-entry stakeholders to assist in program initiatives and development. This position will assist with providing offsite correctional facility support, as needed, assisting with education and wraparound support functions to ensure expanded student access to programming and successful transitions.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides administrative support for all re-entry program initiatives, specifically focusing on facility supports and outcomes.      
  • Works with the Director, 180 RAP staff and MCC stakeholders to support and develop program.
  • Supports general day-to-day education functions and wraparound support onsite at Nebraska Department of Correctional Services facilities.
  • Assists with course and program evaluations in correctional facilities and at the Re-entry Center.
  • Collects and reports qualitative feedback and outcomes program wide. 
  • Works with 180 RAP team to ensure and support participant access to education, programming and resources.
  • Assists with outreach and retention efforts.
  • Participates in various events including, but not limited to: departmental meetings, corrections and community meetings, re-entry fairs and student appreciation events.
  • Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of administrative support functions and office practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong computer and analytical skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Skilled in human relations and diplomacy.
  • Ability to communicate, effectively work and interact with a diverse population, various cultures and ethnicities.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s degree.
  • Three (3) years of full-time work-related experience including high attention to detail, planning and/or program management and scheduling.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
  • Ability to enter and travel to Nebraska Department of Correctional Services facilities.
  • Valid driver's license and insurability to drive college vehicles is required.
  • Must pass a background check.
