Who You Are:
Trulite is seeking a safety‑focused, detail‑oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our crew. This role handles loading and unloading trucks, moving glass and materials throughout the plant, and preparing products for shipment. Candidates should be able to read work orders and picking lists, organize and secure materials, and perform accurate measurements and quality checks. We’re looking for a reliable team player who follows work instructions, maintains high safety and quality standards, and is willing to cross‑train as needed.
Core Responsibilities
- Move and transport glass and other materials between tables, furnaces, racks, crates, and delivery trucks to support production flow.
- Load and unload trucks; pack, stack, wrap, and box materials to prevent damage during handling and shipment.
- Operate a seated forklift and other equipment to transport materials throughout the facility safely.
- Stage materials for production and shipment, review upcoming jobs, and ensure outgoing trucks are properly prepared and loaded.
- Read, attach, and verify labels, tags, and picking lists to ensure accuracy and proper job processing.
- Perform quality inspections and use measuring tools (e.g., tape measure) to verify products meet specifications, and report abnormalities promptly.
- Maintain clean, organized, and clearly labeled racks and work areas.
- Follow work instructions and assist with equipment operation and cross-training in other departments as needed.
Receiving & Shipping
- Safely unload incoming shipments
- Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies
- Process packing slips and receiving items into the AX inventory system
- Distribute materials to appropriate departments
- Assist with shipping preparation and scanning orders
Will Call
- Greet customers professionally and provide required documentation
- Collect payments according to company procedures
- Assist customers with loading materials
- Ensure all Will Call customers wear the required PPE
Safety & Equipment
- Operate equipment safely and inspect forklifts daily
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance, along with the ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks, are essential to this role.
Skills You Bring
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Forklift experience
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to push over 150 lbs. with a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to read and understand paperwork, labels, and basic measurements
- Comfortable using a tape measure and scanning systems
- Flexible availability (typically Monday–Friday with occasional weekends)
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or production experience
- Overhead crane experience
