About the role

Primary Purpose:

Implement college board and state mandated student assessment programs for high school. Ensure security and integrity of testing materials and data in accordance with college board and state requirements. 

Qualifications:

Education/Training:

Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university 

Master's Degree in the area of school leadership (preferred)

Valid Texas teaching certificate 

Candidate must have a satisfactory outcome of the fingerprinting check/background check

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of the state testing program and accountability system

Ability to use student test data systems an perform statistical analysis

Understanding of special programs and accommodations

Ability to use personal computer and software programs to collect, report, and present data and test related information

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

 

Experience:

Minimum five years of experience as an effective classroom teacher

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Implement procedures for ensuring test security and confidentiality of assessments.
  2. Consult with staff to provide appropriate testing accommodation for Limited English Proficient (LEP), Special Education, 504, and RTI students.
  3. Identify, investigate, and address testing irregularities.  Report discrepancies to high school principal and appropriate district level staff.
  4. Develop, implement, and maintain an inventory system to track and monitor location of test materials throughout the distribution, return, and storage process.
  5. Develop and deliver training for district and campus test administrators to ensure that tests are conducted and procedures are consistently followed.
  6. Organize logistics for scheduling and conducting all testing in the district including staffing, distribution, and security.
  7. Supports the campus Section 504 and RTI programs.
  8. Ensures the provision of services and compliance with all state, federal, and local Section 504 and RTI/MTSS requirements.
  9. Maintain confidential files, records, and documentation for all eligible 504 students.
  10. Coordinates referrals, facilitates evaluations/eligibility determination.
  11. Provides timely notices and consents to necessary stakeholders.
  12. Serves as a daily resource to Campus Administrators, Teachers, and Community Members regarding Section 504 issues and provides training to campus.
  13. Participates in collaborative department meetings (professional learning communities) to assist in the analysis and utilization of assessment data to improve student achievement.
  14. Daily attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

Posture: Prolong periods of sitting, walking, standing, bending, and stooping

Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching

Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in 

writing, effective management and public relation skills, and ability to maintain emotional control under 

stress
