Now, the Neurological Institute is expanding with a new state-of-the-art facility which will include additional operating rooms and ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG and sleep and brain study services. As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our team, you will deliver exceptional, compassionate care from admission through discharge, directly supporting patients, families, and visitors while ensuring safety and comfort. Your responsibilities include IV placement, infusion therapy, medication administration, and continuous patient monitoring, with prompt escalation of any concerns. You’ll collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, maintain ACLS certification, and may float within the Mellon and Main Campus as needed. A caregiver in this position works Monday - Friday, from 7:00am - 5:30pm. No weekends or holidays.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.  

  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.  

  • Administer medication and treatments.  

  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.  

  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. 

  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment. 

  • Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.  

  • Cover other nursing roles within the department.  

  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:   

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN program) 

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)   

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (must be obtained within 30 days of employment if not already certified)  

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (Certification within 6 months of hire if not already certified) 

  • Minimum one year recent experience as a Registered Nurse OR

    **If current Cleveland Clinic Caregiver in ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting transferring into a RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting will consider current LPN, Medical Assistant, and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience (e.g. Dialysis Tech., Ambulatory CT., in lieu of RN experience,  or if current Cleveland Clinic Caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area as ambulatory area transferring into will consider current LPN, Medical Assistant, and /or other unlicensed clinical
