  • Primary Working Hours: M-F; 8:00am – 5:00pm.

  • Training: In-person initially. Some online training for various topics.

  • Supervisory: Not a supervisory position

Position Essential Functions

  • Work in a deadline driven environment, handle multiple technical assistance requests at a time and provide positive outcomes.

  • Work closely with team members to ensure consistent, objective, and accurate information is provided to customers in a timely manner.

  • Research, test, and problem solve programs and system issues

  • Provide business testing for fixes and new change requirements to the multiple programs within the Employer Portal (EZ Tax)

  • Respond to incoming phone calls and emails received from employers third part administrators (TPA) regarding the New Hire System and Employer Portal (EZ Tax).

  • Confirm whether Third Party administrators (TPA) have a Power of Attorney (POA) on file to access employer accounts.

  • Aiding employers and third-party administrators (TPA) in setting up UI Taxes Accounts, processing quarterly reports, and making payments through the Employer Portal (EZ Tax)

  • Help with password resets in the Employer Portal (EZ Tax) and verify the email address associated with the new employer portal to gain access to systems.

  • Aid employers in linking multiple user IDs under one user.

  • Help set up notifications via text or email for notices provided through the Employer Portal (EZ Tax).

  • Investigate and test issues that employers and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) may encounter while using their Employer Portal (EZ Tax).

  • Process and enter New Hire data files which are received by fax and mail from employers. Assist Employer’s setting up their New Hire accounts.

  • Create and prepare special assignments using a variety of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

  • Participate on workgroups and collaborate with other agency staff in the process of developing Workforce and Unemployment Insurances Systems

  • Maintain current knowledge of Federal regulations, State policies / procedures, and U.S. Department of Labor guidelines pertaining to Labor Exchange and Unemployment Insurance.

  • Follow required OESC safety / security protocols.
