Your Impact as an HR Manager
As DataBank's HR Manager, you'll sit at the intersection of people strategy and business execution. You'll be a trusted partner to leaders and employees alike—championing a high-performance, people-first culture rooted in our Cultural Cornerstones (Putting People First, Being Data Centered, Inspiring Confidence) —while driving the operational excellence that keeps our workforce as strong as the infrastructure we build. You'll work alongside a lean, high-impact team of HR professionals and play a meaningful role in shaping the employee experience at a company that is growing fast and building something significant.
Reports to: Senior Director of Human Resources
Location: Dallas, TX or Denver/Boulder, CO areas (role is remote)
Travel: Up to 10% travel to DataBank facilities as needed
What You'll Do
Leadership & Strategy
- Champion HR policies, programs, and initiatives aligned with DataBank's strategic objectives and rapid growth trajectory.
- Actively shape and reinforce a culture of accountability, inclusion, and high performance across the organization.
- Build cross-functional partnerships and execute strategic HR projects that elevate the employee experience and drive measurable business outcomes.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal employment laws, as well as DataBank's internal policies.
- Monitor, audit, and interpret HR practices and records to maintain regulatory integrity and proactively mitigate risk.
- Partner in annual HR audits and serve as an internal advisor on compliance matters, supporting a safe, consistent, and equitable workplace.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as a trusted advisor and coach throughout the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding through offboarding—balancing employee advocacy with sound business judgment.
- Coach and develop managers on performance management best practices, facilitating conflict resolution and supporting formal actions including PIPs, written warnings, and terminations.
- Conduct confidential, thorough, and fair investigations into employee complaints, policy violations, and workplace concerns in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Lead exit interview processes, identify and interpret trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve retention and engagement, continuously connecting the dots.
HR Systems & Operations
- Manage and optimize HR systems including NetSuite and Lattice to support organizational growth and ongoing HR digital transformation.
- Execute special projects, process improvements, and data analyses that connect workforce insights to strategic decision-making and stronger, ever evolving employee experience.
- Establish and track key HR metrics (e.g., exit interview data) to measure impact and continuously improve.
About You
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of progressive HR generalist or HR management experience in organizations with 750+ employees.
- Demonstrated experience with employee relations, compliance, HR systems, and performance management.
