Due to our growing presence, we are looking for dedicated Associate Construction Managers to help us deliver high value projects to our customers with safety, quality, and certainty. You will be assigned to our projects and should be open to working 100% at our construction sites. The Associate Construction Manager travels and often temporarily relocates near project sites The Associate Construction Manager works under the direction of Superintendent alongside Project Operations and Field Management to foster great client relationships, and oversee the construction of safe, high quality, profitable, and on schedule projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the team by building and motivating the team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
- Leads and enforces the safety policies and procedures and addresses non-compliance among all employees, subcontractors, and vendors
- Executes the project by use of the Quality Management System. Recognizes any potential patterns of rework, and develops solutions to eliminate it
- Performs fundamental project management practices such as construction progress tracking, simple progress & financial forecasting, document management, problem solving, dispute resolution, design troubleshooting, and value engineering
- Sets, communicates, and enforces production goals and schedules with subcontractors
- Supports the development of the project schedule with the Project Manager and ensures the team is executing to the plan
- Supports the development and weekly updates of the Four Week Look Ahead schedule weekly and oversees the team and subcontractors such that they adhere to it
- Works to beat the project cost budget. Implements effective cost controls over subcontractors, material, equipment, and other related expenditures
- Supports the team on planning, surveying, plan reading, productivity, efficiency, economical crew size, quality workmanship, and safety to ensure projects are expeditiously and profitably constructed
- Utilizes daily huddles to promote communication, resolve issues and share ideas, so the projects are constructed expeditiously and profitably
- Reviews all Daily Reports as well as Subcontractor's Daily Reports for accurate hours, time coding, production quantities, and activity summaries
- Is familiar with key terms and conditions of the Prime Contract with the Owner; identifies and communicates deviations accordingly
- Knows the key operational details of the subcontract and holds the subcontractors accountable to their agreement and the company's standards
- This position is field based at our project construction sites.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or relevant (electrical, construction management, renewable, etc.,) trade school certification
- Previous internship in solar and/or construction management highly desired
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead a diverse group of individuals
- Knowledge of various areas of construction (electrical, earthwork, utilities, structures, mechanical, etc.)
- Knowledge of OSHA Safety regulations
- Excellent teamwork, communication, leadership, people skills, and solid time management are a must
- Working Knowledge of MS Office Suite with strong proficiency in Word and Excel
- Must have a valid driver’s license

*The State of New York requires CS Energy, LLC to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. A reasonable estimate of the range for this role is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00. Starting rate of pay may vary based on various factors, including, but not limited to an individual's experience and expertise. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to CS Energy’s discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
