About the role

Description

The Film and Media Studies Program at Tufts University is searching for a part-time lecturer to teach introductory courses on writing for television and screenwriting at the undergraduate level. The successful candidate will teach two courses per year, one per semester. One will be on screenwriting, the other on writing for television.

These courses will operate as writing workshops while also offering instruction in story analysis with an emphasis on character development, dramatic structure, and the visual nature of telling stories for the screen.


The per course rate is $9,669. 

Qualifications

An MFA degree in screenwriting, filmmaking, or a related field and experience teaching screenwriting at the college level is preferred.
